Huge Harvest!

So last year Mama Neubee and I bought some asparagus root stock. We had never seen that before so we did not have high hopes when we stuck the shrived up roots in the ground.

Well They grew out of control! We are so excited to see that they are doing so well with hardly any maintenance. According to the package, first year we can 'harvest lightly.'

Yesterday we harvested our very first asparagus!!! Haha It may have only been one sprout and I may have ate it in the car on the way home from basecamp, but we feel 100% successful. Delicious!
